Getting There:

Flights:  Several airlines fly to Sofia including British Airways (Heathrow), Bulgaria Air, Alitalia, Austrain Airways and Wizz (Luton).

Transfers:  Bansko is about 90 miles from Sofia with the drive approx. 2 hours and 15 mins from Sofia Airport.  You can either book a transfer by mini-bus or private taxi, or hire a car.  The journey is straightforward and most of the roads have been upgraded.  If you are driving yourself the most daunting bit is actually getting out of Sofia, but it is relatively straightforward.  I can mail directions if required.   Alternatively you can arrange transfers directly through the reception at Redenka.

Directions:  Once you turn off the main E79 road from Sofia at Simitli, you start the climb up to the mountains.  After about 15 miles and and about 5 miles before Bansko, Redenka is situated on the left just before the turn-off to the new golf course (on the right) and the turn off to Katerino Spa (on the left).
